Walter E. Segl III Joins FTI as VP of Business Development

Fluorous Technologies Inc, (FTI) announced today that Mr. Walter E. Segl
III would serve as the Vice President of Business Development.
Mr. Segl is responsible for the development of new business opportunities and the oversight of sales and marketing activities. He has spent over 20 years selling contract chemistry services, instrumentation, and consumables to the drug discovery market. Before joining FTI, Mr. Segl was Director, North America, Pharmaceutical Business Development for Discovery Partners. In this role he was directly responsible for developing and maintaining markets for four business units including ChemRx, DTL, IRORI, and Computational Discovery. Prior to the formation of DPI, Mr. Segl served as Director of Sales for IRORI. Additionally, he has held senior leadership positions at Thermo, Instron, and Beckman. Mr. Segl began his career in pharmaceutical research at Carter-Wallace where he was Group Leader, Analytical Methods Development. Mr. Segl received his B.S. in Biology from Albright College in 1980.
