Fluorous salen-Co complex has been reported for the kinetic resolution of terminal epoxides.  The fluorous version allows these reactions to be conducted under fluorous biphasic conditions providing a ready method for recovery and reuse of the catalyst (1,2).  Alternatively, the ligand and metal complex can be removed using F-SPE.  For optically pure versions of F034090, please contact FTI.
